Brookside Methodist Church

Through God's Grace we seek to make Brookside Methodist Church a place for everyone to come together and allow Jesus and the Holy Spirit to make a lasting difference in our lives, community and church.

Brownies

2nd Gunthorpe Brownies

Who are we?

Girlguiding UK is the United Kingdom's largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women, with around half a million members including about 100,000 trained volunteer adult Leaders and supporters.

There are four key things that make Girlguiding UK unique:

  • All girls are welcome
  • We put girls in the lead
  • We encourage girls to speak out
  • We let girls have their own space

For more information and details about the adventures available to girls and young women – have a look at the girlguiding website below. https://www.girlguiding.org.uk/home.aspx

Brownies (age 7-10)

Brownies follow a programme of 6 themes and can earn interest badges, skills builder badges, theme awards which can finally lead to a Gold award. The programme is full of exciting challenges, games and activities, and the brownies choose which ones they want to earn.

We love craft, cooking, playing games, completing badges and going away on day trips, sleepovers and Brownie holidays.

The Brownies meet on Wednesdays at Brookside Church. We do have a limit on the number of girls in our unit and operate a waiting list for girls aged 5 years old upwards.

To register your interest to join us as a volunteer or to register your daughter to join us, please go to girlguiding website: http://www.girlguiding.org.uk/get_involved.aspx and complete the online form.
