Notices for 17 June 2018

GREETINGS CARDS Don't forget to have a look through the boxes of greetings cards available near the piano. Purchases made in June will swell the total donation that Brookside is sending to Christian Aid.

FIRST AID COURSE ~ 30th June  A First Aid Course has been organised to support some of the representatives from our church groups. It will be an all-day course held at Brookside and there are still just a few places available which are now being offered to anyone from the church family who wishes to get some basic training that would help in a medical emergency. The course will cover help for adults and children. If you are interested in attending please speak to Cathy Ruffles or Chris Hardman before 25th June.

CHURCH FAMILY PICNIC  We are planning an informal picnic after the service on 8th July.  If the weather is good we will go to ferry meadows but if it is wet we will stay at church. Bring your own food, chairs, blankets, sunhats, umbrellas or whatever else you need. If you wish to join in games bring your trainers! Let us know if you need a lift and we will try and organise one for you. Events committee.

Ailsworth Methodist Chapel QUIET MORNING Saturday 7th July 10 for 10.30 to lunchtime.  Led by Maureen Wood, Lay Reader in Wansford.  Refreshments provided. Please bring a packed lunch.  Theme – ‘Prepositions for Serving through the Spirit’.

WORD ALIVE Word Alive meets again on 20 June. We shall finish our study of Joel by looking at Joel Chapter 3, and also look at “4 post-Pentecost events.” There is also (if you wish to come) at 6.50 – 7.20pm a time of prayer. Word Alive follows at 7.30pm with a cup of tea when we begin our Bible Study.
